Getting Around

You can find taxis everywhere in Mexico, and they are very reliable. The sole downside is that they are the most expensive way of getting around. However, if you plan on getting to and around Akumal, the cheapest way is public transport, the vans called Colectivos.

Many resorts on the Riviera are near something of interest within walking distance when it comes to walking. The only problem is that betting on what time of the year you visit; it might be treacherously hot, making even the shortest walk unbearable.
