Safety

Limit your explorations in Cabo San Lucas to the daytime hours, and be careful of pickpockets. Swimming in the ocean in Cabo San Lucas is risky. The riptides are fierce, and there are lots of jellyfish.

Getting Around

The easiest way to get around Cabo San Lucas is by car or by walking, but be aware the heat might be unbearable. The best beaches are within walking distance of the downtown marina, but some tourists choose to take a scenic water taxi ride from the marina to the best beaches. The only thing is that you won’t be able to walk between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo; instead, you’ll have to drive or catch a taxi down the Corridor.
