Travel Guidelines/Restrictions

Mexico does not need a test for travelers traveling, and there are currently no quarantine limits in place. On arrival, they will perform a mandatory coronavirus medical examination. Submission of an Identification of Risk Factors Form is needed. For more information and to stay updated, check the CDC website and visit the Puerto Vallarta website regularly before your trip.

Safety

As opposed to many popular tourist destinations in the United States, Puerto Vallarta is much safer. The crime rate in Puerto Vallarta is very low; if you respect the locals and use common sense, you are unlikely to get into trouble. The one thing you should be more vigilant about is scammers.

People will try to cheat and trick you into paying them. It would be best if you were highly cautious, declining all drinks offered by strangers, double-checking all details, and arranging everything ahead of time.

Getting Around

The bus is the cheapest way to get around Puerto Vallarta because of so many stops, and the fares are so low. You can catch a cab or an Uber if you want a less bumpy trip. Taxis in Puerto Vallarta are quicker, more comfortable, and relatively inexpensive, despite being considerably more costly than buses. But, on the other hand, taxis are not metered in this city. Before getting in, make sure you settle on a price.

With a rental car, you can have convenient access to all of Puerto Vallarta’s biggest attractions, but prices can be high, and traveling through the city’s narrow, bumpy streets can be more hassle than it’s worth.

Best Time to Visit Puerto Vallarta

The months of mid-April through June, as well as October, are ideal for visiting Puerto Vallarta. All of these months have great weather and low rates. The best months to visit are April through June, May and June offer the greatest accommodation rates, while October has the finest snorkeling and diving water. Avoid the week coming up to Easter since this is the busiest time of the year for local Mexican family vacations.

An all-inclusive vacation in Puerto Vallarta offers you a destination worth visiting. Offering cobblestone streets and picture-perfect sunsets, awaken your senses in this charming city that is as rich in tradition as it is in opportunities to explore. Only keep in mind that the beach is just the beginning of the fun that a Puerto Vallarta all-inclusive resort has to bring.
