Getting Around (Transportation)

You can walk from any point along Gloucester Avenue to the city center. Unless the weather is cool and you’re up for some exercise, definitely spring for a taxi instead.

If you don’t have a rental car, taxis are abundant in touristy places and are definitely the fastest way to get around. Be sure, though, that the taxi you take is a Jamaican government-licensed taxi. On the other hand, taxis can be pricey while moving south of the city or to other cities.
